BMW 1 Series, 2019 - present
The most important news presented by the new generation "first mover" is that it is no longer driven by the rear wheels, but by the front wheels. This tells us that this car targets an even wider audience - younger buyers and a female audience i.e. those buyers for whom a front-wheel drive car is more acceptable. At the same time, the BMW 1 Series Kogero will no longer be a compact sports car as before, which still reminded me of the old years of fame of the compact BMW. Along with this change, we are seeing an improved design - the car follows in the footsteps of larger BMWs and boasts almost the same large front radiator grille, recessed headlights and typical BMW taillights, which by the way are perfectly integrated into the overall design. However, together with the change of composition and the "optimization" of the design, the BMW loses a certain uniqueness, which boasted a particularly first-generation first-class, which could be easily recognized from the silhouette alone. You won’t do anything, we live in times of unification and optimization and car design succumbs to the same trends. On the other hand, there are also definite pluses - there is now more space in the rear seats, the luggage compartment has increased and is now larger than a Class A Mercedes. The newcomer's interior has changed quite significantly - the driver-oriented front panel with sharp lines and high-quality materials has logically arranged and easy-to-understand controls. Only the instrument panel no longer has the traditional round analog BMW dials, instead we have a digital design panel where the turn arrow moves in the opposite direction - it will take some time to get used to. This was done to place navigation readings between the two main dials. As in the more luxurious BMWs, this can also be "talked about" - let's say a voice of "I'm cold" will increase the cabin temperature, say "I'm tired" will turn on the air conditioning, music to distract you.
