This model has been widely praised in every aspect - many say it is the best BMW in the world. The 2001 530i received the highest driver ratings ever given. Excellent diesel engines provide high torque and are even more economical than the old ones. The new model, produced in sedan and station wagon bodies, was again evolutionary and very similar to the design of the E38 7 Series model. The car got a little bigger - the gap increased by 68 millimeters and the length by 55 millimeters. The E39 steel body acts as a safety cage for occupant protection. The structural hardness of the monocoque was increased using computer engineering programs - the body hardness was increased by 40% and the chassis is so strong that the next E60 model maintained the same strength. Aluminum parts are used in many parts of the suspension and steering to prevent significant weight gain. Although the car is not cheap, it deserves its price - excellent 6-cylinder in-line engines, unrivaled class-class handling, excellent build quality and brakes. Among the disadvantages are not cheap car maintenance.
